Personailty: Before he met Grace he was straight forward and sometimes upity towards others. He thought life was a highway and he could do whatever he wanted in it. Now he know life can be tough and you have to live each day like it would be your last. He is now loving towards her and only her, theirs is a forrbidden love. He will do anything to protect her even if it means putting his own life on the line.

History: He was born in a farm but the owner thought he was too wild to be around the other horses. He had called him Raging Fire at first but then when he couldn't tame him he set him free. Sunlight had be born in africa after his mother was imported their from Texas. The farm let him stay for the first year then he sent him off to live with the other wild horses in the area. The lead stallion dubbed him Sunlight's Beam and made him one of the herds warrior.
He was dedicated to protecting his herd, but often he goofed around. He had no drive to really fit in because he though he would be sent away again. He didn't know about the changes that were about to undergo in his life but at that point he didn't care. He didn't know he would meet the love of his life in the most unexpected way and she would become his life line.

Personailty: She is passionate when ever she goes after something not stopping until she has it in her grast. She isn't violent by any means and is gentle as a lamb. When she loves she loves deeply and doesn't hold back. She treats everyday as if it could be her last one because in truth it could be. She has experienced loss but she doesn't let it slow her down or stop her.
She is called swift foot because she is fast on her feet.

Their Story:
A lone gazelle has wandered away from her herd to the watering whole nearby. She of course realizes the danger she could be putting herself in danger but she had to have a drink. Out in the open like this with no herd protection she is easy prey for lions and cheetahs that would want to kill her for dinner. Unbeknown to her she has a quite unexpected gaurdian angel watching over her.
He was also away from his herd going for the watering hole, but stopped when he saw her. She was beautiful to his eyes and he thought that she was also magnificent. When she made it to the water hole and began drinking he trotted down to the water hole himself and also began drinking. His ear constantly moving so he would hear if there was any danger around.
She lifted her head in suprise when she saw him out of the corner of her eyes. She hadn't even heard him come up so she definitely would have been in danger had a predator decided it wanted to take her. She looked him over now though blushing at her thoughts. He was gourgeous and even though he wasn't of he species or even her herd she felt an instant attraction towards him. She new though that love between species was forbidden and to do so meant instant exile from the herd, which essensally was a death sentence waiting to happen.
He saw her lift her head and saw the attrction she felt in her eyes. He knew the gazelle law thought, that it was forbiddon to love outside of the herd. The price gazelles paid for breaking this law was terrible indeed because unless your lover decided to take you into their herd you were as good as dead. He also felt the attraction though he knew that the possibility of them ever being able to have a relationship was very unlikely. 'We can still be friends though.' He thought. "My name is Sulight's Beam," he said sweeping into a gallant bow. "Very pleased to meet you."
She blushed then noded her head at him, " I am Gracen, pleased to make you aquaintence." She quickly admonished herself for blushing even though it was wrong. She knew she couldn't have a relationship with him and that they could only ever be friend but she couldn't help herself. She knew she would have to voice the question since he wasn't going to. "Um.... do you wanna be friends?" she said shyly blushing when he gave a horsey snicker.
"Of course..." he laughed.
Thus beginning their forbidden relationship, every week they would meet at the watering hole nd talk about what they had be doing all week. Soon their relationship began to bloom into love without them noticing what was happening. When they realized what was happening it was already too late, she was deeply in love with him and he was deeply in love with her.
That day they met at their normal meeting place and the day started off normally. He took a drink and so did she not know what was about to occur. They both lifted their heads at the same time and accidently brushed snouts. He froze and she looked down blushing like mad. He blushed then looked seriously art her with a fierce passion in his eyes that rivaled most of the males that had gone after her.
"I love you Gracen and I don't care what herd law says we should be together!" he said ferociously looking at her with passion.
"My tribe will kick me out, I can't." she said shaking her head in denieal.
"WE can!" he said suddenly pressing a kiss to her muzzle. Her eyes widened then drifted closed as she leaned into it. When it finally ended she was blushing like mad but very happy because now she knew he felt as she did if not more passionate about her. This stiffened her resolve and she didn't care what her tribe thought she loved him and she wanted to be with him.
"I love you too Sun my tribe be (censured XD.)" She said feriously kissing him this time.(1)
They began seeing each other romantically in secret knowing that they where in great danger of being discovered and Gracen being kicked out of her herd. Sometimes he brought her gifts or food and they would eat it together. One day he brought her a bracelet made of leaves.
"Oh it's beautiful Sunlight!" she said in delight before lifting he back left leg so he could slide it on and secure it. "I'll never take it off," she said genitally kissing him. They kissed for a long while before breaking apart panting. He put his forehead against her and sighed.
"I love you Gracen," he said muttering against her forehead.
"I love you too Sunlight, I always will." he proclaimed.
They left that day not knowing that soon tragedy would strike separating them for awhile.
The day it happened was bright and sunny, they both where sunning together in the heat. She lay next to him with a head on his broad shoulders and had her eyes closed. Soothed by him just being close. Neither where aware of the tragedy that was about to occur.
Sunlight pricked an ear, hearing something in the brush. He stood up quickly scanning the bush, he didn't see anything but he knew they were out there. "Run Gracen." he whispered when she stood up. Then pushed her toward her herd grounds as the lionesses leaped out of the bushes at him. She wanted to go back to him but all her instincts where driving her away from the predators.
For awhile she could still hear him fighting but then there was silence. She cried for her lost love because she was quite sure the lionesses had killed him. Then she wiled her face of all emotion and went back to her herd. She vowed never to love again.
It was months before she went back to that watering hole, in that time her herd had forced her to take a mate or be thrown out. She was heavy with foal and ready to give birth any time now to a male she didnt love. He now pranced around like he owned the herd.
She was drinking when she heard someone plod up behind her. She wasnt ready when she turned around for the person she saw because he should have died months ago in the attack. "Sunlight?" she said blinking away tears.
"Gracen?" he said looking at his now pregnant love. "You found someone I see.." he said looking away angrily.
"No the elders forced me to mate him, I dont love him, I mean not like I loved you." she said shaking her head in denial. She leaned up to kiss him when a jolt in her stomach warned her or the impending birth. "Oh," she said in discomfort.
"What?" he said noticing her discomfort.
"I think I'm in labor," she said her eyes widening.
"We have to get you back to your herd." he said pushing her towards them.
"But they'll she you and know that we're in love," she said despairing.
"It is better that then you giving birth out here in the open without herd protection," he said and led her to her herd grounds. By morning she had given birth and everyone knew of her forbidden love. The most amazing thing happened though. The elders seeing that she'd never be happy with anyone else aloud her and Sunlight to continue thier relationship without exiling Gracen.
So ends this story but these to share much more adventures together.

Explaining the Songs:
If I Should Fall Behind by Faith Hill- This song is explaining how they are lovers but so different from each other. She is saying if one of them falls behind then they should wait for the other and that they should let the other know that they will always love the other.
If Today was Your Last Day by Linkin Park- This song is because everyday on the plains is a danger, each day can be your last and they both realize this. They know one of them could die at any given moment so they treat each day as if it may be their last.
Even in Death- This song is telling how both of them will love each othe even long after the other is gone. This for me is a very symbolic song for me and my life. I choose to use it with character who move me with their stories. You will see how I use this never the end of their tale.
